That is true, but the last tightening bias 4 yrs ago has finally played itself out. The Fed erroneously dropped interest rates three more times last fall because of the global economic mess. They have no choice but to reverse course. Japan may still be in trouble but the rest of Asia and South America looks to have turned the corner. What will happen if the rate increase signaled by Greenspan doesn't materialize?
