i had a very similar reaction
to the BEL release, especially after digesting the recent
virtual procession of alliances, both enviable and not so enviable, among the internuts, portals, content providers, software entities, and telcos...
but primarily,
i was dismayed to see BEL digest VIRAGE...
i think with AMPEX there might have been possible
a truly synergistic union. i think XING was a loss,
and i think this is an even more regrettable loss.
