Thread: Several inaccurate statements here,
you can read a recent article here: It was
a three year old female for one...

While I personally am sickened by the whale killing,
it is good to keep this in perspective--2000 other
whales will be harvested...

Also, if you were a young Makah living up at Neah Bay,
where mainly the only thing to do is watch it rain
most of the time, you might enjoy chasing down a
whale, then trying to eat it--frankly, I'd rather
have a nice sirloin instead of clam-flavored buffallo,
but to each his own.

I'm not too sure that the canoe was towed out to the
killing site, I had heard that the rowers were strong
young fellows, and could pretty much power around on
their own.

I was starting to get kinda angry when I heard that
the whale was killed--then I saw the evening newspaper
with a picture of some Seattleites doing the candlight
vigil thing--really weak man! All the feelings I had
against the Makah just drained out of me when I saw
the photo of these emotionally wrought nut cases.

The whales will have their planet back someday, don't
think for a second that humans will still be here
10,000 years from now! No need to cry for the whales!

Enjoyed the D.H. Lawrence. Best to read him when
you're young, with hormones raging, but a nice
selection there.
