Commercial Concepts, Inc. Announces Completion of Phase One Negotiations With Chilton's
SALT LAKE CITY, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Concepts, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CMEC) ("CMEC") announced today that they have completed Phase One of their ongoing negotiations with Chilton's Automotive Information, a division of Nichols Publishing in Philadelphia. The two companies agreed that CMEC will provide Internet marketing services on a nonexclusive basis for Chilton's published materials. Additionally, the companies will research private label opportunities for automotive accessories. The products will be offered on CMEC's e-commerce website, MerchantTraders.com, under the Automotive section, as well as through traditional retail channels.
"During the course of these negotiations it became obvious that because of Chilton's 70 year history, they have built a strong and loyal following. There are other areas that could become viable for both companies over and above the sale of auto repair manuals," Officers of Commercial Concepts, Inc. said. "The introduction of private label auto accessories under Chilton's brand, marketed on MerchantTraders.com represents one possible opportunity for growth for both companies."
Officers at Nichols Publishing commented that, "Nichols continually seeks quality automotive products to further brand equity, and provide additional product offerings to our loyal automotive customer base."
It is also important to note that these products would not be seasonal, as a result there should be steady sales year round. Due to strong name recognition, the addition of this valuable line of products, to MerchantTraders.com should provide sustainable long-term growth for the website and increase traffic on the automotive products page. Sales from this effort are scheduled to start in the third quarter of 1999.
