Wow, we swing widely on this thread, don't we? As it happens, I've made it a point to explore them for another reason. At the moment, however, I'm relatively clueless. Maybe someone else would like to contribute something on this company.

Yes, I agree. Doesn't it all.
Just so you don't think that I've gone off the deep end in that MRVC post, the discussion was predicated, in large part, on the availability of dark fiber in the street and in riser closets, and in campuses in general. Also, it begins to look at the next series of carrier offerings based on the leasing of wavelengths on an indefeasible right of use (IRU) basis, and sub-derivations of wavelengths, as well.
You'd have to backtrack in the thread and read about a week's activity, or more, before you could gauge whether it really was that futuristic, or whether is was merely an attempt to understand the implications of competition in an era goverened by the imperatives of Internet Time.
