Hi Jerri,
You won't miss out on anything if you don't ask for delivery of your BETT stock certs. The reason Tom wants shareholders to request the delivery of their BETT certs is to stop short selling.
In order for a MM or Canadian to sale BETT short, they need to borrow the shares from a broker. If you request your shares to be delivered, the broker no longer has the shares to borrow against.
This process is transparent to the BETT shareholder. You do not receive money if the broker borrows your stock so that it can be sold by someone else.
The less shares that are in the brokers hands, the less shares that can be sold. Short selling would drive BETT's price per share down.
I hope that this answers your question.
