IMHO, the message has to be either profound like "GE. We bring good things to light." or the message has to be humerous like bugs bunny saying "Thank you Paine Webber." Many of the new brokerage messages are quite memorable because the characters stay with you like the bar tender billionaire, the millionaire tow truck driver and the "sick" young guy that helps his boss place an electronic order while others are clucking about. The add needs to stand for something IMO. The present adds are OK but certainly not great. Need to sharpen the customer's focus so they remember the add at least.
