Triton Mining has made some very positive announcements in the last few weeks. I am very encouraged.
I have an interesting story to tell you Wafa in response to one of your earlier posts where you stated that sometimes you get people to go to various stores and get anecdotal evidence and front-line feedback regarding companies that you are interested in. To me, its kind of like checking out the railroad spur-line going into a company that you're thinking of investing in to see if it is rusty or shiny. Due diligence in all forms is always a good idea.
Anyways, a woman that works with my wife here in Canada was telling her that last year she became interested in a company called Greenstone Resources based upon some recommendations that she had read. It was trading in the C$4-5 range at the time. Greenstone is based in Nicaragua, which is also where she is originally from and which is why she could get her mother to get in her car and investigate the company. She was checking the railroad tracks out to see if they were shiny or rusty so to speak.
Her mother went on this little errand for her daughter and soon reported back to her gushing with praise for Greenstone. So the next thing my wife's friend did was tell her husband about her own research and how it backed up the recommendation she had seen.
The husband didn't want to have anything to do with investing in the company so she didn't invest in it and then, of course, its share price jumped up into the low twenties Canadian a few months later.
Dismayed by what had happened, my wife's friend watched and waited for another opportunity like the one that she had missed out on. She thinks that she has found it in Triton Mining.
This time though, after her mother had completed her due diligence for her and reported back gushing once again she decided not to tell her husband and just invest in the company.
My wife told me this story which I of course greeted with scepticism (as an investor, not a chauvinist) so I asked her if she would place some money on her friend's story. Generally speaking, my own wife is a lot more cautious with her money than I am but in this case her reply was that she would bet the farm.
So I studied the fundamentals for both companies, thought about it and like yourself paid special attention to the anecdotal evidence. I even day-dreamed about having relatives living in the Busang region of Indonesia -- and then I loaded up on Triton.
I think that its another C$20-22 stock given recent announcements and the company's aggressive exploration program.
What do you think Wafa?
