OTOT Dave B, I don't disagree with anything you said. But it's not the buddy who is going to correct bad behavior, etc. it is the parent. I was the stay at home parent for the first four years of each of my two children's lives and now events have brought me home again. We are adults, who surely can play more than one role in our children's lives and in the world at large. IMO we sell ourselves short by believing there is only black and white, either or, yes or no. The really rich texture of life is to be found in the matrix of the grey and sepia shades between the black and white. If we are not well rounded reasonably well developed adults we have little chance of producing well rounded developed children. Aloha
