But 3dfx cards do have excellent image quality, especially in 2D, where TNT2 shows to have the same problems which TNT had: above 1024x768 they start to suck (anecdotal evidence, I still haven't seen one, but have heard this from several reviews now.)

BTW: FPS counts everywhere.

Go read some Falcon4 boards to see them fight for every last frame, just like the Quakers. Falcon4 looks wonderful on my V3, as does every other game I've played (including Quake3.)

Also, FPS games are driving 3D sales. No one is buying V3 or TNT2 to make Deer Hunter play faster. They buy these cards to get an edge in the online games. People with no 3D at all buy to get something. I think most of those are continuing to buy 3dfx cards.
