Wegener Introduces Unity-IP for High Speed Transmission of Internet Data
DULUTH, Ga., May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Wegener Corporation (Nasdaq: WGNR - news), introduces UNITY-IP, a complete end-to-end solution for the transmission of high bandwidth internet data. UNITY-IP works with both existing UNITY/DVB multiplexed signals, or stand alone for the highest data rate requirements.
UNITY-IP consists of the UNITY-IP MUX, a headend IP multiplexer and the UNITY-IP receiver. The UNITY-IP MUX takes multiple IP Ethernet feeds and combines them into a single DVB transport stream. Software selectable feed prioritization insures the timely delivery of critical data while multiplexing all data feeds for maximum utilization of satellite bandwidth. The UNITY-IP receiver features a flexible 2.5 to 50 MB front end covering all international bands from 950 -- 2150 MHz. The 100 base T Ethernet output port will sustain 50 MBPS data throughput.
