OT - GameCommander
I'm going to be demoing a new product called GameCommander this weekend. Does anyone have any particular game they want me to try it on? It's a voice-recognition system that essentialy performs keyboard macros when you say a particular trigger phrase. I'm planning on trying it out on Everquest, Q2, Half-Life, StarCraft, and MERCs. I doubt it will be too useful on FPS since you can usually bind keys. I know it won't be good as a navigational aid (ie, replace the arrow keys or your mouse) but it would be good for camera views, team communication, flight sims, multiple weapon launches, etc.

PS: Sorry if this sounds like an ad. It isn't. It's just that we have a lot of gamers on this forum. I almost bought this product last week before having the chance to use it for free. I'll let you know if I don't like it. ;) |
