thanks for the refreshing post, 'dozer. indeed, it's quite easy to for myopia to creep in as one becomes 'frustrated' (me, anyway) watching AMCC and PMCS chug along nicely over the last 30 days.

if you wouldn't mind, i'm curious on a couple areas:

1) would you happen to have the most recent quarterly figures for the tele-, datacom, and ATE revenue breakout? for FY98, we obviously know they were 51%, 23%, and 26%, respectively. however, with ATE taking a larger slice over FY97, is there any way that trend's continuing this year?

2) i've read where tomasetta says he wants 20% of sales to come from CMOS products (via IBM chips) by 2001. would you happen to know where VTSS stands on that at this point in time?

3) do you have any comments on the two recent acquisitions -- VTEK and serano -- and how their products are folding into VTSS' line? i realize they were small outfits.

4) and lastly, what do you see VTSS eventually doing beyond the phy layer (e.g., switching, processing, and interconnection across the backplane -- if that makes sense)?

sorry if i'm annoying, but your posts are too good to not follow-up.

cheers,
-chris.
