Good article: "This means that Intel's manufacturing cost per Celeron is about $41, or $56 after packaging and test -- still well below the sale price of even the oldest Celerons." Okay. From that article it seems as if they're factoring in fab depreciation, etc. into this calculation. Assuming this is correct, this $56 figure is essetially the COGS equivalent per Celeron. Now add MG&A, and R&D costs to this (which last quarter were 53% of COGS) and you get a total cost (approximate) of $86 per Celeron. Wonder what Intel's ASP for the Celeron line will be this quarter?
