*RESPONSE ON THREAD PHILOSOPHY/ RE: ADDING NEW PIX & REASONS WHY....

B; I understand your point; this is an interesting issue and I'm glad you brought it up;

This post is NOT directed to you, personally; it is a general response to the question of, 'how to choose a stock for the INDEX' ? which has been asked several times:

Many stocks on the INDEX like WLGS, TXCI, SFLK, SETO, CANI, CYSS & many others, have started out with a bang, and then dropped 50% or more before making a great comeback; I'm not concerned about missing a quick 'run-up', because the stocks that will stay on the INDEX must have long-term potential.

We have to go through at least twenty stocks to find a 'keeper' and there's no way I can keep up with all posted stocks which rise & fall on a daily or weekly basis.

Sometimes, we hit it just right (like with HVAR), and other times it may take a month or more before I'm convinced that there's 'some' credibility attached to the stock (as with DMEC which just recently doubled after doing nothing for 3 weeks);

So, I may miss a few 'comets' streaking by, but, we do catch many of the 'shooting stars' which don't burn out, and sometimes keep rising steadily.

I was joking in my last post when I said, "I catch on eventually"; the truth is: I'm very careful about what new pix go on the INDEX. I like to 'watch' them for at least a week or more before adding them on.

I also like to see some enthusiasm and persistence on the part of the thread member who should commit themselves to their own pick. I'm not interested in listing pix which are riding-out a temporary wave of upward momentum.

Some of the best stockpickers on the thread have been very frustrated with me because I didn't add their picks to the INDEX right away. That's because there are sooooo many 'flashes in the pan' out there,
that I try to take my time and observe (and do some basic dd) before listing any stock on the INDEX. As you know, the majority of the stocks discussed on the thread end up in the 'bb' graveyard.

I try to steer clear of these 'up & downer's' so others won't be sucked-into buying a stock simply because it's listed on the INDEX. In fact, I don't want to see one stock on the INDEX which I wouldn't buy for myself (as a hold).

Also, even when a stock looks, feels and seems like it's legit, all of a sudden, boom....there's a surprise like HITT, BHUB, NETA & HS (which have all been de-listed from the INDEX due to various unsavory dealings);

So, to wrap this up, if we list a stock on the INDEX after it has 'surged', and then, if it drops way down (with no recovery in sight), this stock will be de-listed after a fair amount of time goes by. Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing beforehand whether any stock will continue its 'surge' (or recover from profit-taking), unless we give it a try-out on the INDEX;

The daily 'winners' will sometimes be daily 'losers'(on any given day), but the overall performance of the stock over a significant period of time is what I really care about....thanx for bringing up this issue, as you can probably tell.......it's been on my mind for a long time...best regards, sw
