The NDX100 has appreciated some 80%/annum recently. I can live with that kind of average return, specially when it requires no effort on my part (now beat that!). I do see that you have wisened up recently as well, with QQQ call purchases and all. :-)

The S&P500 was no laggard either.

401k plans are very important to a huge majority of market participants. That's where all their money is. I posit that that money should be in index funds while mutual fund managers get a real job.

More and more takeovers are being done with stock swaps these days. Debt is used more regularly for stock buybacks instead, AFAIK.
