I go to Vegas quite a bit ... can count me in if the time is right! End of July great for me. Best time ... obviously a weekend when market is closed <gg> Hotels ... depends on the budget. The rooms at Caesars are the most luxurious with huge bathrooms(of course, haven't yet stayed at Bellagio or Venetian - the newest and most expensive of the hotels) and the food is great. Treasure Island is fun and also on the strip (Caesars, Mirage, Treasure Island, Venetian, Bally's and Bellagio all walking distance from each other). There is also the other end of the strip where the Monte Carlo and New York/New York are located. I would recommend the Caesars/Mirage part of the strip since there is more within walking distance. And there is a tram from Bellagio that goes to Monte Carlo. Also - the Rio is a lot of fun ... but not on the strip so less convenient, especially for those that have never been to Vegas and want to "tour".
