Compuserve is lame. Its almost like the web: additional fees at the end of every mouse click. Thier new focus on the web is a joke. Pay both ISP AND compuserve subscription fees?

AT&T is the same.

Prodigy? A relic of days gone by.

AOL will always be leader. The already have a share of the internet. AOL is the parent company of GNN Global Network Navigator. The AOL icon will be standard the next version of Windows. AOL has licensed distribution of Netscape. Chat rooms keep customers online for hours. One price for various areas that cannot be found for free on the internet.
I do not use AOL. I have tried to talk my friends into switching to a ISP but they like AOL's package deal. They have tried the web and found that dealing with additional passwords and fees is a pain in the butt. They also do not want to give up thier Email address. Most people do not mind big bills for quality content. Besides, what percentage of isp/online users spend more than 7 hours online a month?
Many, but not the average joe.
AOL stock price is a bargin. Down 40% or so from its high. I believe this latest scare is due to stupidity and panicky investors. APCC will rise to a new high by the end of june or early july. Be watchful of the price since it may jump sharply at first. It may get away from you. Buy now and and grin widely on your July 4th vacation.
