I'm affluent, and I pay a maid to clean up the pad every week.

Should Amazon get into this business too?

Lamborghinis are close to a quarter of a million dollars each, and only the affluent can afford them. Perhaps Amazon should get into this business too? Luxury yachts? Expensive men's watches?

William, you may not understand retail, but some of us do (and glenn really really does)- and companies that attempt to sell every product/service under the sun eventually end up in the same place- BANKRUPTCY. Amazon just has the luxury of seemingly infinite free capital through the equities/junk debt market. As long as the money keeps pouring in, I'm sure they'll find a way to spend it.

Amazon is expanding left and right into every business it can think of for one reason only- it has to keep the dream alive. If they stop long enough for people to realize they can't make a dime, they're dead. (along with their unvested stock options)
