Tour of Pyng's Operation - Rural Metro and Laidlaw's AMR
Rural Metro, consistent with the news release of 98-06-09, is a strong supporter of FAST1. They do promote the use of FAST1 throughout their 350 sites. There is communication within the corporation about the effectiveness of the FAST1 system. However, do remember that the number of units available to them is very limited.
Rural Metro has expressed an interest in assuming responsibility the training of all their emergency medical personnel in the use of the FAST1 and, if an agreement can be reached, the training of personnel from other emergency medical enterprises
Laidlaw's AMR did no testing of the FAST1 and there is not enough product to supply them. Also, there is no need for further testing at this time. Pyng staff has met with AMR and AMR has all the material on FAST1.
More later…
Regards, Ed
