PCLN-does anyone have a red herring or final prospectus on pcln's ipo...for most ipos, all the sundry lock-up expiration details are found here...we might profit handsomely, were we to know the expiration dates of future pcln lock-ups...

i will check pcln's sec filings again though at first glance i found nothing there...

fwiw, to the thread, the duration of a lockup is negotiated between the underwriters' syndicate and the company...IT IS A VERY BIG DEAL...companies want them to be short....the syndicate always likes 'em long...one drawback to a short lock up is a MUCH higher insurance rate to protect the company from investor's lawsuits...

tom, with regard to the accounting questions you raise...though ridiculous, pcln is REQUIRED to book the entire plane ticket as revenue by fasb...i heard walker explain this once...something about pcln being ultimately liable for all ticket purchases it makes on behalf of customers...strange but true...

not the case for all their services....just airlines and hotels? i think...

good luck to all,
