I personally will have a problem with extended hours or 24 hour trading. It will result in more turnover so I can see where the industry is for it, but I think this is bad news for most small investors.

I don't (often) day trade but I do a lot of "short term" trading of one to five days in length. With some difficulty I can usually keep my finger on the market pulse and still half way function in a full time job. Extended hours will make this more difficult and will only allow the big boys more opportunity to beat the small guy to the punch. If I have to monitor the market from 5:00am to 10:00pm each day, when will I have time to do other fun things like sleep and eat?
