Sun Java + email + Web, but whose chip? Amy J

May 17, 1999 Exchange Telecommunications Newsletter via NewsEdge Corporation :
America Online plans to release new Internet access devices that will not require users
to own a PC. The devices include a screen phone with miniature keyboard and a
dictionary-size device enabling users to access e-mail and the Web without a lengthy
boot-up process, according to The Wall Street Journal. Alcatel is said to be a partner
with AOL in production of the WebTouch screen phone, which runs on Sun's Java
