It's a Southern thing. Nihil is from Georgia. I am from Louisiana and Mississippi. Family matters there. We have family reunions, and someone tells everyone who everyone else is. "That's your second cousin twice removed. That's your second cousin once removed." Stuff like that. Eventually, it sinks in. Then, finally, one day, it's your turn to tell the young ones who everyone is. It's an important responsibility.
