Voltaire - thanks for the insight! I remember a period back in Jan 99 when AOL did absolutely nothing - this was after its entry into the S&P and all around everything else was going up gangbusters. Well, its time did come and we doubled in 4 weeks in Feb-Mar. Its a good company, buy and hold. Happy days are just around the corner, folks. This whole ATT cable thing is typical Wall St overreaction - by the time this cable thing truly percolates down to households - who knows how much time that might be? Maybe 2 years. Meanwhile, where do you supposed AOL will be by then? And here is my prediction - I opine that ATT has bitten off more than they can chew. First TCI, then MediaOne. Wait till the pain and cost of assimilating these acquisitions hits them. We all know very well what mergers can do to a company.
