Eddie Re <<From the CC, what's taking the 3D chip so long? >> That chip is fully design and ready for production. But the design is around a 0.25 process which does not exist. The foundry which Neo Magic uses does not have a robust enough process for high volume manufacturing and I am not sure when they will. I don't think Neo knows when either, which should explain why there is no guidance beyond next quarter. According to the CC, they do have sample quantities of the chip and are "very pleased" with its performance. And big OEM's are "ready to use them" if Neo Magic had them. Really too bad since that would command a high ASP and a fat margin. :( Mani
