LPS,

The point was raised about the directionless, tight market. A lot of this goes to the observation that the Internets haven't had a broad rally in some time.

Individual stocks are hitting it (CNET had a great day today, for example) but it's pretty spotty. A lot of the new money is chasing those monster Net gains that are becoming harder to find. You also have to wonder if many of these new "day traders" became "investors" and are still sitting on some big losers from buying the top of the last move.
