Gary, re: "I agree that the P7 will not be able to be re-engineered by AMD." They might be able to reverse engineer the logic, but the microcode will be a whole 'nuther ball game. Also, you wrote: "BTW, AMD could not put out their own P6 equivalent. They bought NexGen to design the K6." If it will be possible to reverse engineer the P7, why couldn't AMD use the Nexgen design team again? Again, big IF. Tony
