NEOMAGIC also having problems :

(Got this from the NEO board)

-Supply problem is due to the process technology of the foundry they are using. It is a 0.25 process so it is understandable

-margins will be down due to the higher cost of wafers (they have got to pay what it takes for capacity)

-there is a problem on the notebook market with shortages of LCD. This shortage hampers the low end since most of the available LCD are used for the more profitable high end market. This problem hampers revenues a bit also.

-Relation ship with big OEM is withstanding and they are doing all in their power to keep them happy

-the new product for graphic chip portable market is ready to be manufactured, it can not since process (at the foundry) is not "robust" enough.

-That chip is fully design and ready for production. But the design is around a 0.25 process which does not exist. The foundry which Neo Magic uses does not have a robust enough process for high volume manufacturing and I am not sure when they will. I don't think Neo
knows when either, which should explain why there is no guidance beyond next quarter.

LOOK LIKE K.Y. WILL BE RIGHT AGAIN THIS TIME ;-) and ANALyst wrong again. THERE IS A LOT MORE THAN HAVING THE FASTEST CHIP..., EXECUTION IS MORE IMPORTANT AND ATY ALWAYS DELIVER
