That infers that no negotiated settlement was possible - the Accord was heavily weighted towards the KLA's position - another agreement might have been possible - maybe not - in this situation the propaganda is so thick one knows very little of the realities. We may have to wait sometime for insiders to come forward with their memoirs. If the Tories (with or without Haig) play their cards right they may, stunningly, win the next election, now that Blair faces a defection of 80 MPs on the social legislation issue - which I think is a symptom of a deeper disaffection with many Blair initiatives, and especially this Kosovo business which must sit very uneasily on the conscience of many labourites. In the eyes of many, Blair has got far too big for his boots, and has been embarassing the US with his pronouncements. d
