Magellan upped stocks to 93.5 pct in Jan -Fidelity

BOSTON, March 11 (Reuter) - Fidelity Investments said its giant Magellan mutual fund increased the equities portion of its
portfolio to 93.5 percent at January 31 from 89.6 percent at December 31.

Fidelity disclosed in the March issue of its monthly stock guide that bonds fell to 0.8 percent from 3.8 percent, while cash
declined to 5.7 percent from 6.6 percent.

Fidelity said Magellan hiked the percentage of holdings in the technology sector to 14.6 percent from 13.7 percent. It also
boosted the healthcare sector to 6.3 percent from 4.9 percent.

General Motors Corp , which was one of Magellan's top ten holdings at December 31, was replaced at January 31 by
Citicorp , Fidelity said.

The top three Magellan holdings at January 31 remained Intel Corp , General Electric Co , and Philip Morris Companies Inc ,
Fidelity said.

Fidelity said Magellan's net assets dropped to $53.79 billion at February 28 from $55.15 billion at January 31.
