"Illegally"? Perhaps you are right.

I have several times posted here the basis for my claim that this action is illegal.

I have as many times invited others to produce some justification for claims they may make that the action is illegal.

So far, nobody has taken me up on my invitation. They basically pretend that there is no such thing as international law (clearly an indefensible position -- virtually every law school in the country teaches courses on international law, and many law firm specialize in it), or they claim that international law does not apply to this situation (but fail to provide anything other then their unsupported argument for this, in the face of a legally binding Charter we have signed which says exactly the opposite.)

The only argument I have seen elsewhere trying to defend the legality of our actions basically says "well, okay, what we are doing is illegal under existing law, but we are developing a new legal doctrine to cover this sort of situation which will make it legal.) Which is equivalent to a policeman shooting you and then saying "well, yes, I shot him, and it was against the law as the law now stands, but I decided to make up a new law, without bothering to go through the legislative process, which would make the shooting legal." Yeah, right.

I again issue an open invitation to anyone here to give me citations to any law or recognized legal authority which would justify the legality of our action in Yugoslavia.

Anybody?
