I've posted detailed portions of methodologies for trading on various threads over the course of time. And the methods and strategies vary depending whether it is a short-term momentum trade or mid-term positional trade or an investment position. On occasion I may just flip a stock or do a gambling trade based on my read of the tape and market sentiment. Here's the gist:

Momentum trades: 5/9/13 day emas in favored sectors on stocks with strong RS and confirming block action. And my read of the tape, the tape does not lie.

Positional trades: 20/50 day emas in favored sectors on stocks that gave robust forward guidance with no cummulative mf divergences and the sector/market context must be supportive (P&F indicators help to delineate this situation), news development to be expected in the near-term. And my read of the tape, the tape does not lie.

Investment positions: my strategic vision for the future and my research on technological/strategic developments within companies, historical supports and resistances. Buy at historical supports for value or at breakout resistances when I sense the stock is about to launch into a major new upleg. And my read of the tape, the tape does not lie.

For a momentum/positional trade if there is a discrepancy between fundamentals and technicals, I side with the technicals until the picture clears. The tape does not lie, only people do.
