eBay Goes Live on EarthLink's Personal Start Page; Leading ISP's Latest Premiere Partner Puts EarthLink Members a Click Away From Their Auction Categories of Choice

PASADENA, CALIF. (May 20) BUSINESS WIRE -May 20, 1999--EarthLink (NASDAQ:ELNK) has added eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) to its distinguished list of Premiere Partners.
This week's launch of an eBay "My Auction" feature on the EarthLink Personal Start Page marks an initial one-year agreement between the leading national Internet service provider and the world's largest online trading community. The "My Auction" feature gives EarthLink members one-click access to their favorite eBay auction categories directly from their EarthLink Personal Start Page.

The eBay feature on the EarthLink Personal Start Page enables EarthLink members to program up to 15 eBay auction category links onto their Personal Start Page. They can choose their categories of preference from a total of 27 categories. Without customization, nine default auction categories appear in the eBay feature.

eBay is the latest company to join EarthLink's distinguished list of leading Internet content and commerce Premiere Partners. Those partners include ABCNews.com, Amazon.com, American Greetings, ESPN.com, HotBot/Wired Digital, InfoSpace.com, MBNA, MiningCo.com, Sprint, Travelscape.com and The Weather Channel.
Almost half of EarthLink's million-plus members customize and use the EarthLink Personal Start Page as their default Internet launch point every time they go online. On average, EarthLink members spend 42 hours a month on the Internet and click on their Personal Start Page 21 times per week.
