Just heard on CNBC that NYSE chairman will hold a press conference to possibly announce a major addition to the NYSE from the Nasdaq. CNBC mentioned (i think it was Chernoff) that he normally would not be there in person unless it was a major addition.

Cisco, Intel, Worldcom, Dell or could it be.....Microsoft.
My guess is Intel if such an announcement is made on Monday.

It sure would be nice if we saw Microsoft move over to the NYSE and later get added to the Dow---this would help give the stock a boost and further improve its "political" influence. It would get into the Dow index funds, become a best friend to more and more Americans who invest in index funds (Dow and S and P). In addition, it may provide a support to the stock during the next phase of the trial.

Anybody hear any rumors?
