I monitor, and support hundreds of Windows 95, 98 and NT machines. I all the years I have been doing this, I have NEVER had a machine down for hours, let alone days due to a OS problem. Hardware problems are a different matter. You said: "When Windows 98 or WinNT screws up, it can be minutes, or hours, or days before you get your system back. "
