Followers of this forum are aware that Antares have undergone some major changes in the past year. Foremost has been the passing of the former CEO, the late Dennis Gray.

We have also witnessed a major shake-out in the Canadian mining sector due to the decline of precious metals and the collapse of Asian markets.

I believe what we ae witnessing is a belated show of confidence by the market as Antares have undergone reorganization, refinancing, and redirection. This recent surge in share price could be a consequence of that restored confidence. All shareholders should look forward to the mid-year annual report to be released at the end of June in which new specifics will be stated.

I am totally in the dark as to what we will read, but new management, and a new board of directors will probably present shareholders with an attractive set of new initiatives for the company. At the present insiders are no doubt voting with their pocketbooks by picking up shares at depressed prices.

Antares are a bit of a "pig in the poke," but I've always felt they have had a quality organization.

Regards,

Don DeKold
