History is a great thing when adequately misinterpreted. It would be nice if there was any truth to this analogy. We have the great white hopes moving west and putting the ignorant savages on reservations. Then Old Chief Joseph tries to lead the Nez Perce to Canada. Of course, that doesn't set well with the white guys - so they chase him down. Then he finally says "from where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever." The ignorant savage leads the way. The wise white guys are just too smart to get the picture. Of course, the wise white guys came from a culture that led the world in wars, produced the holocaust (and now has a group of people that are trying to convince themselves it didn't happen), produced the massacres in Kosovo, and whatever else one wants to throw into the list. Then the wise white guys call themselves civilized! The wise white guys are just as screwed up as the Indians. The white guys do have one advantage. They spend more time in the psychiatrists office.
