Press Release - March 10, 1997

IAS Teams with Utah Valley State College, a leading "distance learning" college, for International DWM, AFIM, IID, Beta Test Site.

American Fork, Utah--International Automated Systems announced today the signing of a general affiliation agreement with Utah Valley State College (UVSC)and New Vista International Foundation (NVIF) in Orem and American Fork, Utah respectively: to demonstrate and test, the direct commercial product applications of IAS's Digital Wave Moducation (DWM), Automatic Fingerprint Identification Machine (AFIM), Identification Information Depository (IID, a single identity fingerprint database) and other database information systems, wireless telecommunications technologies and hardware/software systems primarily for worldwide education sectors, including "distance learning." Distance learning allows students to take, test and pass college courses from remote locations.

Initial systems testing is planned within the K-12 wireless and Native American Community College Internet Connections Grant Projects undertaken by UVSC and other organizations, plans to act as an independent entity to establish further liaisons and opportunities for IAS technologies to other local, national, and international schools, universities, corporations, governments, investors, foundations, and grant making parties--as defined under separate agreement.

Both UVSC and NVIF plan to incorporate patented IAS systems into upcoming grant proposals and funding agreements with other parties for the purpose of strategy and systems integration, technology-assisted learning systems and other world-wide education delivery systems. After appropriate testing, all parties in this contract agree
to jointly introduce, sponsor, negotiate and promote the use and purchase of these technologies to local, national, and international entities.

In addition, UVSC and/or NVIF plan to expand the demonstration and installation of IAS technology with their affiliate institutions: ie. the National Science Foundation supported Internet Conections Grant projects--three Utah High Schools, the Catholic Ciocese School Systems in SCL and 3 Regional Native American Community Colleges--and other potential states, countries and grant projects.

Testing at UVSC and NVIF will include, but may not be limited to, access to necessary facilities, hardware and software equipment, staff, students and others to evaluate, adapt and incorporate IAS technologies into appropriate educational applications. Remuneration for possible future sales has been mutually established to compensate both parties appropriately.
