When we got M, he wouldn't quit eating either. Even now he leaves a few kibbles in his plate. Housemate says M saves them in case we forget to feed him. Butt that is usually hard to do, especially in the morning.

During the day if his bowl IS empty he often sits next to it and when I pass by he looks at me and then he looks at bowl. He sits up straight and never miaows. My mom watched M do this. She thought it was cute. He sat patiently for five or ten minutes. I had to blow dry my hair so I could not feed him. My mom gave him food. M eats cat food though.
