att.ron struthers;
i came in contact with HD in 1981.they had opened
their first store on harper ferry road in atlanta in
the end of 1980 or the beginning of 1981.my son
owned an apartment complex on buford highway and since
i was in the plumbing and heating business,i would
visit him monthly and spend a weekend doing various
repairs.we went to the HD store and bought a lot of
supplies.i could not get over the concept of the way
they packaged everything.
so when i got back to fort lauderdale,i found
out that HD was on the market,i immediaely made my
first purchase.they split he next year and now everything
is histoy.i liked HD so much as my 5 grandchildren
were born,i opened an account for each one.
besides HD i have good positions in GE another
steady stock, and a large position in unilever nv.
it is a pleasure to find another admirer of HD.
I have been to many annual meetings.that is an experience
in itself.
i don,t like the expo stores.to me people who
go there only buy once and i like stores that do
repeat business.
i would like your opinion on this
regards
