Doug - Hi, hope all is well with you and yours.
The A-team was named by a "long" familiar to you, not me....they are the ultra long stockholders who are cozy with the company. They could, if needed, put tremendous pressure on the company when it comes to shareholder's issues. I do not mean to imply that they are privy to inside information but they do seem to be in contact with the company on a regular basis.
You may look at it as being in a company "clique" or "inner sanctum" or "the first to know" or just being a familiar and favored shareholder. After all you did start this thread so long ago and have been a faithful DDer and supporter of GE. The cheap shares thing bothers me somewhat but...people need to eat.
You may consult john's post for a negative slant on who the A-team are. I do not see being close to the GE Flame as a negative unless, of course, illegal shenanegans are going on.
Doug, I am glad you started this thread. I, like many others have learned a lot in the past year about BB companies....the pink sheets have been an education indeed! I did appreciate the personal PM you sent me, btw.
I hope that GE is all that you think it is, (I do have my doubts and have been attacked for them expressing them here), and that people like Claude Cormier and the Chief will be buying stock soon.
The school year is done here as of today! My kids and I have a very busy summer planned. I must brag about my daughters, all A's, gifted classes, and excellent musicians...super nice, animal loving, artistic, young ladies. Youth Symphony try outs tomorrow.
My oldest, 12, made the jazz band and was selected as the band teacher's assistant next year. I told her she is a "Band-Aide". She plays piano, euphonium, trombone, trumpet and violin, all well. Amazing what they can accomplish when you invest time, support and money in them when they are very young. Yes, children are a big sacrifice but I believe you should not have them if you are not willing to commit to giving them the best upbringing you can.
Enjoy the end of your son's school year...take lots of movies of all of his events.
My kids first stock ever owned were MINE shares...they will never forget GE. In at .11, out at .50, no fees or taxes. <GGGGGG>
Colleen in beautiful Orlando, waiting for the BD report summary, whenever it is released. Until then, see you around.
