Greg,
I do not read the Yahoo or the Fool board, but do agree that there is very good reason for skepticism.
I did more DD on this company than any other. I have followed this company from the Fool Boards on AOL (when SeattleDan, TraceBV, Noggin44, and others were the primary posters.)
It was the great prospects that brought me to the company in the first place, a few years ago. You see, we've been here before.....great technology in a field where there is expected to be tremendous growth, in one of the greatest bull markets for technology stocks in history.
During this period how have long term investors fared?
The more things change; the more they stay the same. This company needs a partner, or they need to be acquired. It is my opinion that no matter how good the product is, another company will eat MRVC's lunch in the marketplace. By failing to carefully consider whether they can succeed in sales, and ultimately earnings, one can make a major investing mistake.
It bothers me that no one new will pick up coverage. Where is ML and PRUS? They know this company. It bothers me that there are no insider buys. It bothers me that management does not bring in some new executive with name recognition on WS. It bothers me that management in the past has been less than forthright. It bothers me there is no visibility of earnings.
There are plenty of negatives to consider.
regards,
