It is a material item to the company, so they have to announce it, but was it necessary to do a halt? More thoughts...

Why would they do the NR when they only have a letter of intent, before the deal is finalized and before they are able to announce what they're going to *do* with this acquisition and business relationship with ideaLab! ?

Perhaps they had to take it far enough down the road to enable them to discuss their plans under an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) with potential investors in the PP, far enough they could show some tangible evidence they weren't just blowing smoke and the investment would pay off? But not so far that the PP of $5m couldn't be made still very attractive because the share price is still low.

Does this sound like a rationalization? Perhaps. I'm just trying to put together the pieces, which at the moment seem to be so intractable for someone trying to fit them together as to be from different puzzles!

There's a reason for the way this is all unfolding. NSI, and especially ideaLab! didn't get where they are through capriciousness.

Too mysterious. (sheesh! feels like an X-files thing; where's the Smoking Man?)
