You have gone too far this time JC!
Steinberg agreed with Huber's assessment that Corvis' technology may be up to two years ahead of its competitors.
NO QUICK IPO. Terms of the Cisco investment were not disclosed. Michelangelo Volpi, Cisco vice-president for business development, described the price as "not unreasonable for a company in the protoype/beta test phase." Volpi is taking a seat on Corvis' board, which includes venture capitalists from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and New Enterprise Associates, two of the biggest and most aggressive technology investment firms.
What the @#$% is this??? I dont know where this cr*p came from but it is a sick, sick and totally biased PR release designed to hype CSCO's struggling optical strategy against LU. Everyone knows CSCO and Ciena have teamed up to provide what limited optics CSCO has today. So CSCO apparently has a beef with Ciena (probably because Tellabs is on to CSCO's ways through Ciena's channels) and decides to say "NA NA" and go with Ciena's virgin baby sister for it's optics solutions. A classic good ole boy strategy.
And so this is the offspring of this sick tryst. QUOTE FROM A NOBODY, "CORVIS IS TWO YEARS AHEAD OF IT'S COMPETITORS" (implying LU). And now, the creme de la creme, a CSCO VP, (on the board of this 'Corvis' outfit no less), SAYS HIS 'CORVIS' COMPANY IS IN THE PROTOTYPE PHASE. PROTOTYPE PHASE!!! TWO YEARS AHEAD OF THE COMPETITION AND THIS BOZO SAYS IT's IN PROTOTYPE PHASE! AND THIS GUY IS ON THE BOARD OF CORVIS TO BOOT!!!!! SHEESH!!!!!! WHAT THE $%#%# IS GOING ON AT CSCO????????????
THIS IS BBBBBAAAAADDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some ghost poster named 'Bankers Lady' comes out of nowhere and posts this out of the clear blue? And it's a big secret, not to be posted until May 24th? I am forwarding this to the SEC. mailto:enforcement@sec.gov This is the last friggin' straw. This CSCO BS has got to be stopped. A lot of potential investors could get BURNED by this and I want this checked out.
Hope you have the answers, Bankers Lady. Just in case this post is deleted by CSCO aligned forces at SI, it will be immediately printed upon posting.
Wouldnt be surprised if Ciena sued the @#$% out of Corvis either. Nice to have CSCO pay those legal bills.
Have a happy day, Mr. Chambers. |
