Hi Colin, in your post #7569 to me you correctly stated that 5-20 is the official record date and I agree. However, you than stated the ex date therefore was May 18th assuming that three days would pass making it May 21st. I don't know where you come up with this but it isn't anywhere near correct. The ex date had never been set. The PR stated that you needed to buy the stk on 5-17 to be a stk holder for record date 5-20 because of the 3 day settlement rule. Your assumption that the ex date is 5-18 is not right. As of this date the ex date still has not been set and won't be for another 60-90 days. In your post 7970 to jemuel you stated" If you sell your shares after this day (record date 5-20) you still have the GUARANTEE that you will rec TIPS". N0 where in the PR did it state that if you sell after rec date 5-20 that you will get the div. It did state that to guarantee div you must own on 5-20. If you did own on 5-20 and did not sell until ex date you would in fact get the div. Therefore Mr Tiltons statement was correct but shud have also stated that the ex date has not been set yet and if you sell before the ex date you will NOT get the div.Again, I don't believe he lied, he just didn't state the sell option. I don't know why I'm doing T A P's work and explaining this except that I am an investor long in TNRG and I'm sick and tired of people going off half cocked when they don't know what they are talking abt and T A P isn't doing his job in explaining the facts. He still hasn't conceded and corrected his earlier statement tdy that you need to buy 3 days before ex date to get the div. Mr Tilton, if you are out there IMHO you didn't get what you paid for with T A P and us investors we didn't either. Tony P S __I don't doubt that you are a good financial advsr, but when it comes to understanding div's you need to do alittle more research before making statements and assumptions that aren't correct.
