Microsoft, Partner to Offer Free Web Pages to Real Estate Agents

There's a cat fight going on in cyberspace that could influence how millions of American homes get marketed.

And the snarling got louder yesterday when Microsoft Corp.'s HomeAdvisor, an online real estate service, teamed up with another firm, HomeSeekers.com, to begin offering free Web pages to real estate agents.

The offer is an attempt by Microsoft, the new kid on the real estate cyberblock, to catch up on Internet listings of houses for sale. But, analysts said, it's also a swipe at Realtor.com, currently the most popular of all real estate Web sites.
