Corel crashes report of forecast frenzy By KEVIN BELL -- Business Editor Corel Corp. moved yesterday to squelch a report it was scrambling to lower analysts' forecasts of second-quarter profits. The software firm said it is simply trying to bring analysts who were predicting high revenues up-to-date on the latest information. The published report indicated Corel feared it could lose credibility with investors if the second-quarter profit fell far short of consensus estimates.
