PS Dave I've just thought of a way to solve the battery problem.

For mass deployment of repeaters, the company just offers free phones for those who agree to wrap aluminum foil around a pair of rabbit ears and place it on their front lawns. They plug this into the 120v socket, and bingo! You have a repeater station.

Where can I apply for a patent?
