To all: One smart investor's play on Dell. I have been long on Dell for a long time and it has been 100 percent of my portfolio. I have done well with it. I did however lighten up recently to purchase AOL. I have simply noticed how a very smart investor plays Dell stock. He never buys, but then he never panics and sells all at once. He sells a little bit at a time, as he averages out of it. We all know him as Michael S. Dell. His reasoning is that it is to diversify. I realized that his portfolio had to be more diverse than mine, me being fully invested in Dell. I think there is a better than average chance that the next big news out of Dell will be Michael Dell selling millions of shares again. I plan to buy and sell Dell when he does from now on.
